Is it too early?

    Customer wants beds cleared out and shrubs shaped up. then wants bagged mulch down. Is it too early in the year for this (this weekend)? I live in south Jersey btw....what do you think??

    I'm in Central Jersey, and I've been pruning and cleaning beds out, for a couple of weeks now. Some stuff wants late winter pruning. It depends on the plants involved. Like, when do they flower, do they flower on old or new wood. These are the basic, guidelines.

    no deffinately not yet....clean up yes, but shaping shrubs there is no way of getting them perfect(unless of course you are one of these guys that dont really care....im not!!)....and hell no to mulch yet!!! (it will just cause mold and fungus, especially from those unused bagged mulches that has been sitting somewhere since last season):clapping:
