so like s fool i didnt place my pump in water over winter.

now it has troubles stating up. i can jump start the fin to start but that's not a fix long term.

Can i fix it or should i even fix it? i see it draws 280 watts. where as the newer aquaserge 3000 takes 160ish. my elevation is only 5' so i think it would work.

are there other pumps i should consider? seems like a spendy endeavor didn't realize these pumps were so expensive.

Sometimes the internals of the impeller dry out and rust a little bit. As long as it doesn't trip the breaker or gfci then it should be okay. You could try a very small amount of lube on the shaft of the impeller. If it is a magnetic drive pump, take it apart and clean it with vinegar. Good luck. There are comparable or better pumps available from Atlantic water gardens for much less$. They also have a 3 yr warranty now. Let me know if you have any other questions.
