That depends.... for homeowner use that could be another 10 to 12 years of use or more! To a commercial operator, it depends on the application and their use. It could last a year or 2 or 3 depending on how many accounts they have. Or is it for back up use only? Without knowing more about the machine and your expectations, it's hard to tell if it's a decent price. My personal thoughts are; It's a now 17-year-old machine. Here's a case where it's more of an age over mileage issue...things just get old...hoses, seals and such. It seems high to me, but of course everything is so much higher these days, so, that it may in fact be a very fair deal. If the engine expires after a couple hundred hours, are you prepared to incur the cost to replace it? Now we're talking about a $5,000 mower...still worth it? How long do you expect to be using this mower? Will it be a primary mower or backup?
