Im thinking about taking a look at this.
Be careful i am alwase weary of a diesel truck that has a lots of mods mostly a chip and exhaust. Decent deal but people dont just chip a truck to take it easy all the time they usualy hot rod it like crazy
What he said^^^^^. Can u take it to a dealer?? That would be the only way I would consider it. The 7.3 is the best diesel ford has.. Check it out real good..........
Id buy it. Good deal.
The 4x4 are prone too needing front wheel bearings and ball joints in that mileage range.
The 99 trucks had the small turbo and the transmission is not as updated as the 2002 and up trucks.
It has a single clutch in the converter and if pulling very heavy loads they are prone too slippage which will lead too a rebuild.
The power door lock actuators give trouble as well.
Lock and unlock the doors several times in a row and the weak actuators will stop working.
Pull the inlet going into the turbo and look for dings in the turbo blades.
Yes thats a good price on the truck.
2 miles to the gallon,,,,,,bunk
