We were honored last week by hosting a visit from Janet Moyer and her husband, George Gruel, to our bronze foundry in Colombia. Janet is researching methods and materials of fixture manufacture for the next edition of her book. She wanted to learn more about bronze and see first-hand our sand-cast method of production. It was great to spend time with Janet, and I left feeling even more impressed (than I was) with her knowledge and passion for landscape lighting. I believe she, too, was impressed by CAST, and the passion we put into our products. George, as many of you know, is a great photographer and had a field day snapping photos of our foundry. He beautifully captured the essence of the place. Check out his photos at http://www.oddstick.com/castfoundry/. I'd also like to put in a pitch for Janet's new non-profit Landscape Lighting Institute.
