I have owned and operated a small 2 man residential lawn care business for the past 3 years. We ended last season with 40 weekly customers with no contracts. This season I am considering offering packages(mowing, bush trimming, leaf removal, etc.) at a one flat monthly fee. Would you all recommend doing this, and if so, what services would you include? Also, would you require they sign a contract?

I would offer the package, but not a a flat rate. Give them the mowing price, how much it would be each time you trim hedges, and each time you do cleanups. Just have them agree to a certain amount of times each would be done over the season. Your not going to be trimming, or doing cleanups each month.

I can see doing it either way but I would not do anything without a contract. Use a contact to protect both parties and so that everyone knows what is expected.
