anyone have any information on the John Deere Zero Turns?? I was looking at the 717 for mostly residential yards..:blob3:

Forget the 717 its just a DC9 with a few whistles.

What does anybody think of the JD ZTR's? I was really interested in them except for the price. Almost nobody that I have seen Has one. Mostly Scag and Exmarks here. I tested an Exmark and liked it pretty well. The only problem with it was it was to big for my accounts. I am going to buy a new ZTR next spring and any suggestions would help.

I have a 717 and use it on residentals and too trim out the stones on two cemetaries. Havent had any problems and i mow mainly rough stuff no what i would call smooth homeowners yards. Not much of a striper but does a nice even job of mowing plenty of power too. If you are looking for a deere try to get a couple of qoutes from dealers they have room to play you just have to get a couple workin against each other.
