I have owned 2 717's and a 737. The 727 is basically the same mower as the 717 with a 23hp instead of a 19. I have not heard of any complaints on the 727. My 717's have been great, however, the 737 was another story. If it has been well maintained this mower should last you awhile especially if its at a good price. The hours are low to for that year model. If you can check it out, mow with it and make sure it does not smoke or leak any oil you should be fine.

Thanks, we have a 13" of snow on the ground still, so the only thing I could do is drive it in the parking lot. Is there anything I should look for ? Hydro pumps or anything ? This is my first ztr so I really don't know what to look for. How does $3500 sound ?

Prior to running the mower, inspect it to make sure there aren't any visable leaks on or around the mower. Drive the unit around the parking lot and make sure the hydro pumps are responsive. Park the mower in a clean spot and let it run for a while, after letting it run inspect the area to see if the mower leaked any fluids (hydro oil, engine oil).

What he said! Also that is not a bad price on that mower, but maybe could get him down a few hundred and make it a very good deal. Funny thing is depending on what part of the country you are in effects the price big time. In my area deere will bring top dollar while you can't give an exmark away! And it other parts the exmark bring top dollar. Pizz poor dealer support hurt exmark bad in my area.

Thanks for everything guy's ! Also, just talked to the guy & he said it only has 260 hrs, has maintained it every year. Asked about leaks, motor he said no problems & had no problem with me testing it out for any or everything. So sounds even better.

Thanks for all the help !

If it only has 260 hours that is a very good price for that mower! You won't find them here for that with low hours.
