i pretty much decided I want John Deere m series walk behinds
I did not like the previous generations but I like these new ones
I darn near bought a turf tracer but the guy changed the price three times inside a week... here’s the price, oh I forgot shipping, wait you’re going to finance? That’s a different price, never mind I can give it to you at this price but the 30” mower you want is $300 more to make up for it....
    So enough of those hijinks.

I can get an JD m series with a sulky and a stripe kit for less than I can get a turf tracer without any of that... that’s including the exmark pricing for 7 point fleet.

    Anyone have opinions
    Especially on the John Deere?
    The deck size is 36”
I kinda want the 48” but the crews really benefit from being able to enter gates with 36”.

Everyone copied ECS now patent has expired. 36 Tracer has electric start. Looks like jd has a recoil and electric

FW’s are best value here. And you get Kaw 600 on the 36

For the record I’d take a velke over a turf tracer any day.

that's too bad. the reason I bought my turf tracer was no elect pto. this is a bad move on exmarks part. got sick of replacing elect pto on my toro every few years. its expencive and a pain to replace

Drive belt easier to change now but yes. Recoil and manual PTO preferred

Can't say I miss the recoil start at all since moving to electric start, especially first start up of the day, but I do miss the manual pto when running doubles. Was nice to gently feather them in.

I do carry a jump box in the truck incase I ever have a dead battery on the mower, but 3 yrs in I have yet to use it for the battery. Also having a battery let's me have a electric powered ocdc.
