I have a JD tiller of that breed. It have been very good. Had for about 12 years. I added a rubber flap to the back to keep it from spraying dirt and rocks sometimes. With all the power a tiller like this has it will kick a rock a longways. It is very well built, a commercial quality machine all the way. I also got the gauge wheels. I paid about $3500 for the setup that long ago. It is a great machine.

I have a JD tractor but I recently bought a Kuhn EL 32 51" tiller...Very nice...it has a slip clutch so you won't break the chain every time you hit a decent sized rock...This tiller is very heavy duty...I got mine for $1800.
