Here is the situation, my partner and I will be mowing mostly small cemetaries about 15 hours a week. I have it narrowed down to two choices: A brand new Deere ez-track 445 (48in with 25hp Kawi) or a used 2004 Toro Z 453 (48in turbo force with 23hp Kawi) The toro belongs to a friend of mine who is an owner/operator it has 400 hours and comes with the power flow bagger and z-stand (for jacking up the deck). I think I could own the toro for under $4000 and the deere would be $4500 with out the bagger. what do you guys think?
By the way they will have to deal with slightly rough terrain.

I would think that the J.D. won't last a year, since it's a residential grade mower. The Toro is solid as a rock. I bought 1 on Ebay in Mar. '05 model Z453 w/ 52'' deck. 580 hrs.

I have owned deere, toro and exmark. Get ANYTHING but a da*n deere! I would choose the Toro over any deere new or used anyday!

I used a deere Z425 my first year, very impressed with the machine, at 15 hours a week I think you'd do ok with it. That said, commercial equipment is built much stronger and will last longer. With the bagger that toro sounds like a good option.
