Is the John Deere F935 a good grass tractor mechanically
Seems every time I see one, it has well over 1000 hours. I think they're really good machines if they're what you're looking for.
a ways down on that page there's a 935 for sale, like $8,900.
A golfcourse I used to part time at has one. It's dead now.. But has like 4,000 hours. There was the usual troubles, I think they had the engine rebuilt at one time, transmission (hydro) went out, electric clutches, stuff like that... This machine was used and abused! Ran full speed, as fast as the sucker could drive, just about all the time. Many many holes, tree stumps, poles, you name it it had been crahsed into! The deck is still in pretty sound condition after all that! Since it's not a ZTR it's basically impossible to tear up grass with it. It was usually chosen over the 72" hustler to mow around and infront of the teeboxes because it gave a better cut.
