How do these compare for pre-m? The J green seems almost 2x the price of Lesco. The Lesco is 23.90/bag and the J green is 48/bag. They cover the same sqft. Thanks

Isn't Johnathan Green just a homeowner brand?

I dont think it is, they just opened up a new store by me, but i think lesco would be a better choice.

    Oh, OK.

Around here, all I've seen of it is at big-box stores.

Got some grumpy looking old guy on their logo.

I take care of the Green families personal lawns. By looking at their lawns they have a great product.

I always had good luck and service using Johnathan Green products. They would deliver right to my door. They have a large varity of product and a very nice catolog to discribe thier product.

Their grass seed is excellent much better than Lesco's. Also about %40 more.

I've used lesco seed for some time for the simple fact that most LCO's use it and you really have to around here to compete. I've been happy with the results but it does take a little more maintenance to get the same germination of higher priced "brand seeds". It is best to use a hydro-seed like cover (can't think of the exact brand at the time) to help cover it and increase germination. But it is safe to stick to the adage " you get what you pay for ".

I use the Lesco mowers... but not their fert, control or seed products.
They are too far away from me for that and I am happy with what I was already using.

I use Lebanon Products for everything and some Turf Merchants seeds as well as a few others.
