School site has been without irrigation water since last Saturday when the 4" main line blew out. We were notified Monday mid-morning of the problem and did some initial hand digging to verify that the break was under a public sidewalk. I lost my Bobcat operator for two days of training and we finally got out there today with the Bobcat backhoe to verify that the problem is too far back under the concrete to handle without removal of a section of the sidewalk. Now we'll have to wait until Maintenance Department gets out there and saw-cuts the sidewalk so we can remove the concrete and make repairs. Meanwhile... the fescue in the front of the school is starting to look REAL stressed with some brown spots showing up and that general gray cast to the grass. It'll be interesting to see how much pressure is put on them so we can do our repair work.
