I don't know if this has ever been posted, but figured it could not hurt to say it again if it has been. I bought the work tunes hearing protection with the am/fm radio and have worn them on every job since last season. I keep mine in a box on my trailer and pull them out on each job, slap them on, turn on the radio and get to work. Well today I did this and within only a few minutes I felt a sting on my ear, and the first thing that popped into my head was the thread about the brown spider. I dropped my edger stick and yanked them off my head almost in a panic only to find that it was a red ant that found his way into the foam packed ear piece. Hopefully no one saw this but I will be checking before each time I put them on. Never know what might crawl up in there waiting for you.
