I'm looking at buying one of the new Toro Z-Masters.
They brag that the machine has only one belt for the whole mower. Of course, the dealer said it was easy to install a new belt.

Anyone know how hard it is to change it?
How much time does it take?

Steer clear of that if you can....they aren't that easy. Ferris and Dixie make a far easier product to use and work on

The hardest thing about the toro is taking the deck off. Its a pita.

Make a friend in the guy you buy it from so he can service it for you, it cost me about 250 a year to keep mine serviced but it's worth it to me...........I'm no mechanic!! I cut grass............

You have to remove the deck to change the belt? -- You MUST be kidding.

No you don't have to remove the deck! The mule belt that Toro uses is not hard to put on at all.

tell the dealer you are seriously considering the mower, but you want to see how easy the belt is to change. ask him to change it. that should be good for a laugh.

which toro did you own? they seem like very nice machines.
