When I start the machine, the starter goes clickety, clickety, clickety (loud, not like solenoid clickety), then it fires up! It sounds odd to me but seems to work ok. I ordered a new one. should i put it on right away or wait for this one to give up if that is what it is on its way to doing?
Make sure your battery connections and connections to ground and the starter are clean and tight. This can cause your starter to click. If you determine the starter bad then change it out so it doesn't leave you stranded.
checked that out. all looks good. I should have said it is just short of a grinding noise. or rapid clickety clack while cranking to start.
