My sacg has a kawasaki fd661d, usually you can hear fuel pump turn on when you turn the key on. It does'nt turn on anymore, will not start. Is it the fuel pump or something else?

I wasn't aware that the FD661 in a Scag was equipped with an electric fuel pump. If the sound you're use to hearing when you turn on the switch is a click, that is the fuel solenoid in the carb. If the fuel solenoid is not being activated fuel will not be able to pass, thereby causing a no start.

If you do indeed have an electric fuel pump, I stand corrected.

It could also be a relay, those tend to 'click' when electricity is applied...
As for electric fuel pumps, they usually make a humming, or whirring sound.

I took the fuel pump and hooked it to a 12v source it still does not turn on. So i am assuming it has to be the fuel pump. It is on a scag turf tiger 22hp fd661d. The fuel solenoid is activating.
