I am looking to replace the carburetor on a Kawasaki FH531V- S06. I would like to replace it with a carburetor that does not have the electric solenoid. The original equipment part number is 15003-7034. There are several that look similar in part diagrams. The carburetor with the solenoid is $70 to $90 more and the solenoid seems to be a weak link in a great motor. Has anyone else had problems with the solenoid?

The solenoid is only an electric plunger switch with 12v present the plunger pulls back and allows fuel to enter the main jet. If 12v is not present then switch of course stays in place and you get no fuel. I have not had and excess of solenoid failures so I would think your issue may be something else but testing with a test light and DVOM would answer alot of questions.
