hey guys i just tried taking off a cover off of my hedge trimmer and when i relized i didnt have washers to compensate for the space the cover took up on the blades i tried putting it back on and the blades didnt work. btw this is a single sided hedge trimmer and its a chrome cover that goes over like half of the blade. is there some secret to tighening the bolts on the blade or somthing?

Your chrome guard serves two purposes it is a safety and also keeps you from putting too large a branch in the blades they are hedge trimmers not a chainsaw. The way to adjust your bolts is as follows install the screws till tight then back them off so the washer can move freely then hold the screw head with your screwdriver to keep it from spinning and tighten the 10mm nut on top of the bar, repeat for each screw. Hope this helps:)
