Just purchased a Kawasaki KTF27A string trimmer and hate the head and the way the line spools. Does anyone know if I could replace it with the echo head? or another head that is easier to spool and use.

I agree with str400ex... I just put an oregon model speed feed on an old Stihl (don't know the difference between oregon and shindy). I used it all week and cannot say anything bad about it. Just make sure to load it correctly. From the dealer it was about $32.

get the Stens Speed Feed 450 #385-288 or #375 385-284. Just make sure the arbor/adapter size is 8mm x 1.25 LHF.

I do not know about the KGF, but my KGT27A had such a small stud on it that I had to put on a old Redmax gearbox of mine so I could change to the speedfeed, [or any other head].
