My Kawasaki trimmer will not idle. It runs at full throttle ( better with the choke partialy closed). I changed the fuel filter, plug, checked spark arrester, rebuilt the carb, changed the intake gasket . What else could it be? I was thinking of just buying a new carb. Thanks for any help.

Did you replace the fuel line? What about the primer bulb, any leaks?

IT would sound like its running too lean. replace the fuel pickup line too, and make SURE all the internals of the carb are clean too.

The bulb is fine , the idle screw would have to be set to full thottle . I didnt change the fuel line yet, I will try that today.Could it be the crank shaft seals sucking air in ?

IF it were the crank seals, it would idle erratically. it would go from normal idle, to about half throttle and all over the range of RPMS
