They are all good engines!! The only reason most manufacturers use kawi's on wb's is because kawi gives them a better deal for buying a huge amount than kohler does. It's all about making profit and kawasaki helps the manufacturer make more profit. I have both and they are both good engines.

They are both good engines. But for lawn mower gasoline engines, my vote goes to Kawasaki. No doubt though- Kohler would be my second choice. I never have and never will buy any product from any manufacturer that has a Tecumseh engine on it.

kawasaki or kohler is good although above 19 hp i think the kohlers have more torque and fewer probls... i am trying the robin subaru engine now on my blower as a honda alternative.. the 'robin' brand has been around a while, was previously called 'wisconsin-robin' previous exp with the robins excellent..

ive used kawasakis, tecumseh, briggs and kohlers. you may think im stpid, but my tecunseh enduro14 never bogged down in tall grass like my kohler15, or kawaski 15. it was just s torque monster, but a bitc? to pull over and start. over all i would probly go with the kohler though. im am using a kohler pro command 15hp now as a replacment on my scag 36 inch walk behind, its the 5 year and runs like new even though its stored on open trailer outside. the kawis are 2 piston, the kholer are 1 piston. i like the 1 piston i carburetor setup on the kholer less probs to go wrong. just my to sense

I run Kawasaki. I have a friend that swears by Kohler, but with my experiences, Kawasaki is the best choice out there. No disrespect to Kohler at all.

I like both, but because all of our equipment is kawasaki. I try to stick with them because of maintenence. All the same filters and items as such.
