Does anyone have any experience with Kawi hand held equipment, like back pack blowers and trimmers. They are new to my dealer, so I have no opinion of them, but I am considering buying a blower. Thanks.

I have one trimmer. I like it for it'd light wieght, but power compared to a redmax or sthil i think it lacks some. Good overall for the price though.

I have a 2000? Kawi KRB400A b/p blower that I got used and looks like it has been beat on and used real hard but it starts right up every time and never any problems. I'd say go for it but look at the KRB700 model it's more power! The KRB400A has a left hand throttle and the KRB400B has a right hand tube mounted throttle. The 700 I think is a KRB700B with a right hand throttle if I remember right. Good engines good machines.

I have the KRB700B backpack and love it. I bought it last year from my Lesco dealer for around $440.00 (I think). I has IMO much more power than my BR400 Stihl.

Lat year, while at a trade show they (Kawi) had a display set up with their trimmers and Echo, Shindawia, Stihl, etc. They had tachometers mounted to the D handles of all the units there and big tubs filled full of water to place the head into and rev'r'up. The kawis maintained several hundred rpm's more than the competition. I'm talking about the KBL26A, which is the 26cc unit they have. It's light, and according to my testing at the show, it's got more guts than the competition. However, some folks may have trouble with the "gigantic" D ring handle they put on them. Of course you could always put one from another brand on instead.

"Got plenty of power for me!"

have a kbl23a weedeater.great for residentials;very light weight.Use a kbl26a for heavier commercial use.I agree they are a little low on power but the weight savings is awesome if you do alot of small to med. yards.I am happy with both units

If your looking for a new backpack try the Echo PB-650...

It is awesome...great power, very quiet and best of all...a 2 year commercial warranty!!

I use all Echo stuff and have for years!!
