Could someone please tell me how best to make it go away. Stay away. Withouth killing the grass/shrubs it's invading/strangling? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thx

What kind of ivy, Boston, Algerian, ground ivy? In any case, in grass its not much of a problem because it cannot stand short mowing and Weed b Gone will kill it. In the bushes or climbing your house--much more difficult. My opinion, try to cut it off at the soil level. Wait a few days--everything above the cut will die as no roots to supply water. Roots will sprout, cut the tops from the roots again. Paint the cut surface with weed killer. Repeat as needed.
