Does many people use Kinko's for business cards and flyers? Do other smaller local places compare in prices or is it better to shop online.

I had some color brochures done a year or two ago. I priced Kinko's and several others. I got a local small print shop to do them. There was a $1000 difference in price for 500 color copies.

Kinko is always WAY to high.

Your best bet for printing is to shop on-line. I would start with www.vistaprint.com for business cards, post cards etc. http://www.postcardwarehouse.com/door_hangers/index.html has good prices on door hangers.

I have used both companies and the turn around time is just as fast as a local printer. Vista Print being the fastest. I ordered 500 magnetic business cards from them and had them in my hand 3 days later.

I got my first set of 1000 cards from Office Max, used their generic logo and one color for 17.99. Just fyi. That was on a white background.

17,000 black and white flyers for $467 printed on bright yellow paper.

5,000 full color flyers for $588 locally.

Could have gotten the 5,000 color for about $480-$535 on the net but decided to stay local.
