    Looking for opinions here.

I have a Kohler command 20hp and there is oil in the air cleaner area..top of carb. A substantial amount. Doesn't smoke when running, and runs strong.

Is there anything else other than low-by that might cause this??

I know your suppose to coat the prefilter with oil. Is the filter saturated with oil? Has the mower been serviced lately? Tipped over?

Check the oil. It may be overfilled.

The oil is right in the middle of the desired zone.

Theres a slow drip coming up the breather tube and pouring out on the bottom of the air cleaner base plate.

The engine doesn't smoke, starts and runs OK and has plenty of power.

I haven't had time to pull the plugs or open up the breather assembly. I know there's a reed and filter in there and I was wondering if the filter might be plugged.

There are only so many options for positive crankcase pressure!

    Any ideas??? :waving: Thanks
