Hey guys, just found the site. Looks great! I purchased a John Deere L-130 have a bit over 120 hours on it since new. Started running on 1 cylinder, bouncing back and forth between 1 and two. Shut it off, let it cool down and popped the hood. Found a bunch of oil coming out of the valve cover where the breather is. Popped the cover and the lower push rod has oil flowing from way up where the seal (guess there is one?) is. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! Bob

Sounds like the engine is over filled with oil, Possibly a piece of trash got stuck in the float valve and filled the crankcase with fuel. There is no seal in the push-rod area only a oil return port to allow oil to return to the sump.
Check what I mentioned and get back.
