Hi everyone! I'm a newbie. Got a Xmark Laser Z h.p.52" cut. When i do my first yard of the day the machine is great! but 5 minutes later when I get to the next yard the machine starts and runs terrible four aprox.5minutes and then runs well again. I cleaned the carb. (engine is 6 yrs.old) and flushed the tanks. installed new plugs. Any ideas?:dizzy:

Sounds kind of like vapor lock?
Are there any heat shields missing? Have you cleaned the cooling fins lately?
Where I'm coming at here is while running, the fuel flow through the carb keeps it relatively cool. After shutting off the engine, the carb is getting heat soaked from the engine.

fins are clean. heat sheilds are in place and the weather when I've been cutting has been relatively cool. It's been suggested that the coils could be the problem. Does that sound reasonable?
