kubota zd 25 or the zd 28 60in

    Which would you guys want to have? I will need a machine that will cut threw 1 foot 2 high grass and also use it on my other nicer yards..Also what would theses mowers run on prices?

    We use the zd25 finish cut and tall grass. :rolleyes:

    I run a ZD28 / 60". I paid $11,500 for it last early summer, just over a year ago.

    I traded in a Ferris IS4000, 27hp liquid cooled gas / 61" deck, so I had $6,000 to boot.

    It's nice, but I don't believe the diesel is worth the extra money.

    Next time I'll probably be looking back to gas.

    I burn about 6 gallons every 10 hours of actual run time on the engine.

    Yes, the engine will run for 5,000 hours, but there'll be nothing left of the rest of the mower.

    :blob3: if you maintain your machines 5000 hours on the machine is not difficult, we have a dixie and a walker that are pushing 6000 hours and are in excellent shape, so that mower could easily make it to 10,000 hours. tony
