Is there a difference in the mulching blades and the
regular blades. Because when i use my block off plate for my
grass discharge it starts blowing all of the grass out from around
the belly and comes up all over the operator. i have the kubota
zd221 48" commercial belly. Any help please

    Thanks, Terry

12 views and nobody know this answer? Yes they are different. Different companies sell different styles that all pretty much do the same thing. "Regular" blades have one sharp edge, "Mulching" blades have multiple sharp edges to cut each blade of grass multiple times... example gator blades. But when you move toward a mulching blade like the gator blades to make multiple cutting edges they bend up pieces of the blade, this makes you lose lift... now your mower will most likely miss more grass because it is not being sucked up enough. Hope this helps.
