    Hi my Lawnsite friends.

You may remember that I was posting here early this year, telling everyone I was moving from Colorado to Florida, and looking for advice on good areas in the state to establish a lawn care business. Well, in my searchings for a house I found one that had 10 acres, with an operating nursery on it.

So goodbye lawn care and landscaping, I'm now a nursery owner. I've transformed it into an all Florida natives nursery, and have over 100 varieties of Florida native plant species. We're the largest natives nursery on the Treasure Coast, and for many miles North and South of us.

So, if you're a landscaper in the area and are looking for native plant material to use on your jobs, come on over and see what we have to offer. We're operating under the name, Palm City Natives, and are located 1/2 mile down Savage Street, off Citrus.

Look forward to meeting some of you.

Ha! That's awesome. I know your business and live right near you (operate mostly in palm city, Stuart and Port Saint Lucie). I'd love to network with some other local companies.

Welcome to Florida, that's a nice area. Good fishing too!

Thanks, guys. Greenwithenvy1 and getdown, stop in sometime when you have the time. Always good to network. Plus, I don't do installations, just sell the plants, so I pass out the names of my landscaping business customers to my retail customers looking for someone to instal their purchases. Be happy to put you on our list if you're looking for new work referrals.

Absolutely! I will drop in sometime here soon. I'm always looking to network. That goes for anybody in the area...please don't be shy about reaching out...would love to build an alliance! I'm more on the landscape maintenance side of things currently. I occasionally do installations for existing customers, but it's not a focus right now.

I had to laugh, when I read the opening post. Talk about "All-In!". Next winter, I'm hoping to just land in the Tampa area, find a job, and a place to live. A nursery isn't a requirement.

Tampa is a nice area. I went to college in St Petersburg... It's paradise over there. Miss it.

From New York here, been in the business for almost 25 years, was wondering how the job outlook is for Florida? I'm considering a relocation if I can find a employer in need of a hard working employee. Ideally I will be relocating sometime in the next 12-15 months.
