Has anyone used the rear discharge option on a Lastec Z? I want to know how well it worked. Thanks.

While I was waiting on a mulching kit, I tried the rear discharge for about 5 minutes and gave the mower back . It probably cuts like any rear discharge they just tend to leave a mess. I wanted to try the mulcher, I was impressed with the mower, except there is no trim side sticking at all, which leads to more string trimming. It side dischraged very well.

Darn. I was hoping to hear something favorable about it. I liked the idea of having two trim sides and not have to mulch. I've never used a rear discharge, but everything I've read says they leave behind a mess, like you say.

I've got a 61" lastec. I've only used the side discharge setup so far, but I might just change the baffles around to the rear discharge setup and see how it works. When I do that I will post again on this thread with my observations about it.
