Our forecast in the Upper Midwest over the next couple weeks looks extremely poor, wet, then bone chilling cold with snowflakes here and there. So much for a late fall....I finish up my last fert round tomorrow then winterizing everything and slamming it in the shed. I do not fight the cold anymore, its a losing battle.

Anyone else out there hate being pushed by early arrival of winter when there is still work to do?

Yep, Been gathering firewood for the shop stove. They're finding spoons in the persimmons around here...

Can't fight Ma nature. We're supposed to get 1-3" snow starting tomorrow.
I'm hoping to finish up a couple cleanups before it hits. Then start unpacking trailers.

Ha ya, there are a lot of leaves around here that are simply not going to be cleaned up. Too much crappy weather. And remember, it snowed almost all the way thru April too...

Weather here is being super crappy... we are working in the rain just to get stuff done, getting 5 calls a day either for leaves or snow.

That's the first I have ever heard of spoons in persimmons...had to Google it. Interesting....is that at all accurate? Just curious.

Final cuts here this week then leaf cleanup.....

Late start in the spring, early finish too.

I'm usually mowing (switches to EOW) up until Thanksgiving then start leaf cleanup.....

Tomorrow is 61 then 40's as highs and a couple 30's as highs....

We got pouring rain now. Rained yesterday. No leaves for another week anyway. Few yards to cut. I just say--least it's not Minnesota weather. Then I feel better:usflag::laugh:
