lawn-boy #2 that leaks. what gives

    You didn't post any model numbers, but from the picture of your unit, the link below may suffice. Go to LB'S site and search for parts for your carb to satisfy yourself on part numbers.

    Replace needle/seat, bowl gasket and cork float. Quite frequently, the float will swell sufficiently that it hits the carb body before the inlet needle can close.

    This link is for a model 5253 from 1985 but I'm relatively sure that the parts numbers for those parts will be the same.

    Add an in-line fuel shutoff valve.

    there is a shut off valve it. comes stock.

    i want to fix the problem.

    can the needle and seat really go bad? it made out of solid brass?

    i can see if the float would maybe go bad???
