Hello group, Thank you professionals for being kind enough to help us DIYers out.. I really appreciate it! Sorry about the long post with all teh photos.. just wanted to make sure I provided enough info... I have two different problems in the lawn that I need some advice on. One is new and the other has been going on for quite a while. Some background. I live in Jackson, MS and the grass is St, Augustine(as far as I can tell) I put down Scott's Bonus S in early April and don't have a regular water schedule other than trying to put about 45 min or so of water on the back yard when it hasn't rained in a while. I'll water the front when it starts looking dry. I water in the morning primarily. It was moved about 2 days before these pictures were taken. I'm not exactly sure how high i mow it. It usually depends on how tall it is when I cut. probably 2" to 2 1/2". I recycle the clippings if the grass isn't too tall or if there aren't too many weeds growing.. if there are then I bag. I haven't aireated or de-thatched since i moved in. The first is a new problem in the front yard. Started small and is spreading. It is located around the drain clean-out (one of the caps won't close) and that small completely dead spot was (i think) killed by a spill of the Bonus S. Here is a close-up photo of the leaves.. and one of the area. (Click for full size) The second is a series of spots in the back yard that have been increasing in size and severity since we moved into the house (4 years ago). Not sure if it is something that has come and gone and left dead areas in its wake.. or if it is something current that will need to be killed before it does any more damage.. and then need repair. here is an overview of the area. and some closer up shots.. #1 Click for Full Size #2 Click for Full Size #3 Click for Full Size #4 Click for Full Size #5 Click for Full Size Many Thanks in advance for any help.
