Lawn in shade

    I am brand new to this site. What is the best kind of lawn grass that grows in shade. We have a lot of trees around and we need something which grows in shade also.

    However, since you asked, I prefer the green stuff. Looks much better I think.

    Chris J - C'mon we all know you guys down there just paint the sand green where needed!

    ash work - Make it easy on yourself and go to a garden center, etc.. and buy 1 or 2 or how ever many bags you need of " shade mix ". It will have the proper grasses that you are looking for.

    I had the same shade problem. I bought several metal halide lamps and hung them from the trees. I'm not a licensed electrician, so I used several orange extension cords. A real pain when I have to cut, but it's so bright I can do it at midnight when I come home from the pub.:drinkup:
