Not sure if I got the right place, and I could have posted this previously, but here goes…..bare / bear with me…
I have a property that I’ve been in possession of, for 8 years.
I have never paid much attention to the grass, but I think I ought to do some maintenance, an fertilize ( I feel sorry that I have been remiss )
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
PS…. I am hesitant, as once, a few years back, I fertilized a healthy lawn with “manure” of some sort….it killed “EVERY THING”
Thanks.

I see crab and dallisgrass off the bat, but where are you and what is the dominant turfgrass in that lawn?

When you applied manure in the past you probably gave it too much N at once and burned it up, you just need to be more gentle and know your rates.

I should have specified that the manure was applied to another property.
The property in question (pictured) is located on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada (in the foothills)
Not sure what the predominate grass is, but I know it’s a mix.
Thanks for suggestions
