Planing on renovation my lawn and a costumers lawn Using a mini skid and was wondering what all the attachments I need and how I should go about renovating the lawns. I know I need to clear the old grass but I'm lost after that.

Resod or reseed? What kind of grass? Bermuda? Fescue? Avoid perennial rye--not suited for temps over 90. Fix whatever problems caused the poor quality and the need to renovate. Is it irrigated? Heavy shade? Acid soil? Major weed problems? Grassy weeds? Any crabgrass last year? Are you willing to use high-cost Tupersan to control crabgrass?
Use premium disease-resistant seed--brown patch resistant. This is best seeded in the fall--unless it is Bermuda.

Good stuff there Riggle, and I get nervous whenever I hear "skid loaders". :) If makktruck has K31, he better dig deep. (I smell Roundup) :) Guessing he's in the transitional zone. Irrigated = KBG. Non irrigated = turf-type tall fescue? thoughts?

Apply Roundup about August 15. Power rake or drag after grass is fully dead. Use disease-resistant grass suited to the situation with an eye on climate and irrigation, as Larry said. Wait until local temps drop down to about 80. Slit seed; follow up with a heavy rate of additional seed-- broadcast. Add starter fert. Water every day for 30 days.
