Well, ok.. The best part of your website are the pictures. The giant baby picture is awesome, and i really like the rhododendron picture on your contact us. For the constructive critique, without sounding like a jerk, you might want to spend a little more time on it as a whole. The navigation in the lower corner, the different background on the supersoil page, TREESHRUB.html is hard to read. Yellow number on the front page is hard to read. Your logo changes page to page. Its sorta lacking in flow. gotweedsad-346x271.jpg needs to be reworked to a clearer image. Under services provided on services.html all your heading links should be clickable. (i'd move that beastly looking spider link a little further away from that QTpie the spider is scary)

I'll be home for most the day tomorrow nursing a foot injury. If i can give you a hand editing pictures for size resolution or whatever send me a message and i'll reply back with my email address. We have work to do.

Respectfully,

John

Thanks for the comments. That is why I asked. I want to rework the entire site, it might be too cluttered but wanted to give prospective customers as much information as possible. I have made some changes and I have some more to go. It's a work in progress. I know the flow isn't good but the everyday work around here gets done first.

What do you think of a blog or monthly newsletter?

Hope your foot gets better.

Hey Ron,

Boy am i glad that you took that constructive criticism well. I've been dwelling over those words i'd posted just about all day now. Foot will get better as long as i stay off it for maybe another day or so. I've never done a monthly newsletter but it sounds like pretty good idea.

The first thing I would do would be to eliminate the introduction page. That's just one extra thing someone has to click on when they go to your site and it's really not needed.

2. I agree about the name of your company being consistent throughout the whole site. You need a logo that you can place on each page, but until then figure out how you want your name to look on the site and then make it look the same on each page.

3. I would take the links at the bottom and put them at the top of the page. Maybe have them listed horizontally right underneath your header image. The way you have them now they are kind of lost there at the bottom. I also wouldn't put the services underneath the "services" link, because people are going to see those anyway when they click on the "service" link. Seems redundant.

4. This is for the links (services) on your home page. I would suggest not putting any more information beside the links. Just have the name of the service (short & sweet) and let the people click on it to learn more. The way you have it now, it really doesn't come across as links, but just some information.

Anyway, good luck with the site and I hope you take this exactly how it was meant to be taken as "constructive" criticism.
