Can a 48 hp deck be swapped with a 52 ?
My model is a 2000 19 horse kawasaki
Thanks for the question. It can be done but it can get expensive and I probably wouldnt recommend.
This is not a complete list of items that would need changed but it will give you a general idea of what is involved. You'll need to purchase a new deck shell, front frame w/bearings, deck belt, Hydraulic hoses, wheel motor spacers and associated hardware. You will also need to remove and reinstall the old spindle assy's, deck idlers, front caster forks etc.
It's not a project your going to want to do in the middle of the cutting season because of the time involved but it can be done.
