I just started up my exmark lazer z 60" for the first time since winter. After I got it started it has very little power. I have changed the fuel filter, air filter, gas, spark plugs, oil and oil filter. It seems like the engine is getting too much air or not enough fuel, because the brand new spark plugs are already carboned up. Does anyone have any suggestions?

If the fuel tanks have some room I might dump some 93 octane in it,
like 5 gallons would be good, see if that clears it up.

Welcome to LawnSite.Model and serial #'s will get you some better answers. Do you have a little black smoke from exhaust ? Are both plugs getting blackened ? Could be a carb issue. Float may be sticking. Choke may be stuck or not opening fully. Send #'s for engine as well .Make,model, and hp. Thanks.
