Is anyone else having a problem with over fert. over watered grass laying down and pops up a day or two after you cut it. I know cutting lower will fix the problem but the grade is so bad, if I lower the deck I will scalp.

Yes, I would say 80% of my lawns are like this. It's just the time of year. You just have to ride it out til it settles down.

What ...... you don't like WIMPY grass?

I see this problem on a lawn where the fert outfit uses a high N, low P & K fertilizer. Thin weak grass blades, I can really tell the difference when I trim compared to the lawns I fertiize.

Run high lift blades, doubles if your mower can handle it. Double cut ting may help.... This problem is usually caused by lack of sunlight on fescues. Too many shade trees cause it on my own lawn, But I hate to remove 100+ foot trees on my 2+ acres....Chuck
