How is everyone doing? I haven't been posting too much on here. Too busy, too tired, too choatic to have any kind of hobbies/ routine. :/

I took a couple pics for some odd reason over the past 2 days with a couple jobs

    In any case

Honestly I don't know how I did this job with out my accoustical leak detection equipment. As well I'm very thankful for Jim for helping me learn this equipment.

I've been using my accoustical equipment 3-5 times a week for who knows how long this season . Finding Sprinkler Main Line Leaks not surfacing.. Finding Lateral Breaks Not surfacing and other bs. Typically 1-2 a week on service line leak locates.. I find it funny that people like Dana and others never have to bust out there wire tracer locators .. It seems for weeks now I've been using my pro 700 multiple times a day everyday. Lucky you guys!

I had a fun leak job yesterday- House vacant and the water district shut off the water meter 6 months ago. The water meter is next to 6 others and homeowner tells me the water's off. When I arrived the meter is turned on yet there was no leak/ water to the house Hmmmm.. I discovered that the homeowner had a contractor work on the house.... Instead of the guy turning on the water meter and let the leak happen ... He decided to abandon the water line to the house and install a hose bib lol

Found the leak fixing the hose bib.. Fixed Of course there is still a leak in this service line of 1.3 gallons an hour. Going back in a few days to continue on.
.. I've been doing typically 1-2 of these a week I just never remember to take pics

    Stuck valve...

    Where is the valve?

Oh! It's under a stupid bush!!!

I Could not pin point it exactly with the locator. I knew I was extremely close but my probe couldn't find it . I first figured there was no valve box to it, but it was just large roots covering it.. I spent at least an hour straight of sawzawwing crap I went through 4 blades.

I tried something new.. I hooked up my remote and used my accoustical to pin point the solenoid humming noise because the locator was giving me a 2x2 location and I couldn't pin point.

    Double boxed

Zones 1-4 Wouldn't work out of 14 valves- RB Mech Valve with Multistrand going into 14 guage after the house.

I isolated the common for these and traced out.. I located 2 10" pits 75' away from eachother and traced a total of 200' of wire.. Yet I couldn't find the break

I pin pointed the break to roughly a 20' section with my locator-- returned with the Ground Fault Locator and found the break within less then 2 min :)

I rarely need to use the GFL but man it's the handiest device when its needed.

    Hi Mitch,
I was wondering which model are you using with regards to acoustic leak detection equipment Where did you get trained or did you figure it out yourself? Great work and thanks for the posting.
