It’s my first year on chem. and fert. I have some more spraying to do but there are a lot of leaves on some properties and less on others. How would you advise on this situation? Should I only spray after leaves are mulched or bagged or just do it and not look back? It’s obvious if the ground is totally covered that you won’t get good chemical coverage but where do you draw the line?

A fuzzy line to be sure. You need to get weed control down before temps are too cold. If weather is cold we spray if grass is visible. But we write a service order to come back and redo leafy areas in about a week. Judgement call to be sure. But late in year we are not so busy. We encurage people to call when they remove leaves so we can do them before more leaves fall.
