I have been thinking of getting the Lesco HPS next spring. They also sell the hitch ramp/rack that slips into the receiver. Is it really worth the $850 or are there less expensive ones in the market?

    Thanks

I am not looking for a ramp that leads to the pickup bed. It's a ramp that is perpendicular to the truck. You drive up the ramp and park it, while the whole time the tailgate stays in the up position.

I have something similar for my ride-on. I talked to a trailer company in town and they said that they could have fabricated one for a lot less than the one I bought from the manufacturer. The shipping alone for one made locally would save you a bunch. If it were me, I would check out that option first.

If you have to go out of town for it I guess you need to weigh the time and overall hassle factor as well.
