I went to a auction this afternoon and bought a lesco 18 horse vanguard 52 inch cut hydro walkbehind with 50 hours on it, paid $900.00 for it, I didn't need it I just thought it was a good buy.
I could'nt find any info on the internet. Was this a good price?

    The 52 Lesco hydro usually came w a 17Kawi. The hydro - 17Kawi

or 18 Koh. If it has a Vanguard some changed engines. The new

ones have an 19 Kawi. Ed

Its probably in the region of 3-5 yrs old, hence the twin of choice then(B&S) other than Kohler.;)

I would say you got a great deal. Nice job.

I sold a 52" hydro lesco w/ a 20hp Kohler earlier this year for $1500. had about 400 hrs on it. So I'd say you did all right.
In my opinion Lescos are solidly built, and get the job done.
My 36" is standing up well at the end of it's second season. Cuts well and leaves a nice stripe. And it can even pull my carcase around on the sulky without a problem.

I had this thing bought at $500.00, nobody else was bidding on it, so the auctioner ran the bid up to $900.00. I still think it was a good buy.

I wish you the best of luck on this mower. Per the prices other on the post have reported you got a deal as long as the mower holds up. A good backup mower is never a bad thing to have.
