    In an age where everything is dressed up, sometimes authentic pictures sell the best.

    I like your website, it looks good.

    I think people mostly get hung up on the aesthetics of a web design when they should be more concerned with its effectiveness. Is it useable and easy to navigate? Are your contact details easy to find? Etc...

    I don't have a site yet (haven't really needed one). However, there is a web developer/graphic designer who owes me some trade. He's really good at site design, so I may get one done almost for free that way.

    Just be sure you're getting legitimate, fair trade. I don't recall seeing a web barter that didnt have the LCO receiving the very short end of the stick.
