Ok everyone, I have to bid on a job for a natural fence.
    37 #3 leyland cypress cost $6.25ea
I figured 9cuft mulch around each one. If you dont think this is enough please tell me.
13.59 per yd we will call it 13yds to be safe.
    so $176.67 cost.
I am not sure about labor. I would ordinarily charge 3x the cost of the plant. However, this ground is very hard and rocky. Any help would be appreciated.
I will be hand digging. yeah I know .lol
How would you bid on this one?
And any suggestions about this job would be appreciated.

labor 1.0 hrs per cypress includes prep time and difficulty factor. ground hard clay rocks
    37 hrs x 35.00 1,295.00

    mulch: $ 425.00

hand dig 37 @ 5 cu ft holes = 7 cu yards. I can dig 2 cu yards per hour so that is 3.5 hours. For really hard digging maybe as much as double, more than that its time to look at renting iron. Bring plants from truck to hole = 1 hour. Fill holes and water in maybe 2 hours. mulch 14 cu yard @ 5 cu yards per hour = 2.8 hours. delivery x 4, $50 for 70 miles doesn't feel right. don't forget time spent getting loaded. Do you need to load and remove excavated material? 4 cu yds onto a truck by hand 2 hours. 2 hours for set up, clean up and travel to site. Total 14 - 18 hours. + material + delivery. So IMO 37 hrs to plant seems to long, but 35 an hour seems a little thin. iwould have come in around 1700 which works out to 45.95 per plant.

    Add $ 200 for warranty.
