I've got one of these on a Bad Boy Lightning and am just curious as to how many hours I can expect to get out of it. I change the oil every 50 hours. Here's a picture of it.

We have one on a Ferris and i've wondered the same thing. I'm sure it's good for several thousand hours. Should last longer than an air cooled engine.

Why do you change the oil every 50 hours? The interval is 100. If you run a high quality oil and the filter is doing its job there is no reason to change oil that often.

It just makes me feel better every 50. It doesnt even cost a $20 bill to do it so I figure why not.

    I believe motors are rated @ 100hrs per 1hp. 26hp=2600hrs

Call Kawasaki and ask them. They will go through the lecture of "it depends on application, how the maintenance is done, etc, etc". They should have an idea on the expectant life of the motor. Your dealer or distributor should have an idea of this anyway. You can get more life by using a high grade oil or synthetic as Travis said. I would also change every 100hrs as too.
